Cookery Days

Visit our home in Colne near Cambridge for one of our cookery days, where the emphasis is on fun, learning and relaxation. Hosts Sandra & Frank will look after you and teach you a range of skills and techniques around the day's theme. Courses run from 9am until around 3.30pm. Your lunch will be the dishes you have cooked in the morning, and there will be an afternoon tasting and Q&A to complete the day. There is a maximum of 6 students on any one course. The cost for each day is £110, which includes recipes, ingredients, meals and drinks. Courses are suitable for beginners, as well as more experienced cooks. All days with the exception of Canapés begin with an introduction to knife skills.

Saturday 23rd March 2019 - Spanish Tapas
Croquettes, meatballs, picada, salsa, tortilla, aioli, and of course churros with chocolate sauce to finish

Sunday 24th March 2019 - Entertaining Friends ***FULL, next course 29th June***
How to put together the perfect dinner party. Thai fishcakes, pickled vegetables, ballotine of pork tenderloin, potatoes Anna, leek and cider sauce, pear and hazelnut frangipane filos with chocolate sauce

Saturday 13th April 2019 - Pastry
Savoury and sweet pastries, choux and puff pastry, techniques demonstrated and explained and practical use made of your pastry (and some to take home).

Sunday 14th April 2019 - Canapés and Party Food
Spectacular treats and nibbles for family and friends at party time. A range of hot and cold canapés, and advice on how to choose and serve them.

Saturday 18th May 2019 - Italian Cookery
Hand-made pasta, Italian sauces, panna cotta, poached fruit, sugar baskets.

Sunday 19th May 2019 - Indian Cookery
