Pop Up Restaurants

Our Village Pop-Up

My partner Sandra and I set up a pop-up restaurant in our local village  (or the one next door) every few months. We take over the local community hall for one night only, dress the tables, and open up the bar. There is also a free to enter QUIZ. Our last one was on 20th September, at Bluntisham Village Hall and featured a Lebanese menu.

Starter Platter:

Kibbeh (beef and bulgar wheat "koftas")
Manaeesh (Lebanese flatbreads with seeds and herbs)
labneh (strained yoghurt with olives and pine nuts)
Muhammara (red pepper dip with walnuts)

Main Course:

Chicken Shish Tawook (marinated spiced chicken)
Mejadra (spiced rice and lentils with fried onions)
Mixed roasted vegetables with tahini dressing


Shikaf (fruit salad with rosewater cream)
Ghraybeh (butter cookies with almond)

There was also a vegetarian alternative.

The ticket price is always £20 per person, payable in advance. Tickets are limited to 60 diners. The pop-up is intended to get together people from Colne, Bluntisham, Earith and Somersham, to get to know each other and have a good time for a reasonable price.

We regularly put on a pop-up in Hemingford Abbots too.  Contact me to be added to our mailing list.

Our next night in Hemingford is on Wednesday 29th November, and we are doing a "Fish Night".
