Are you planning a hen weekend in or around Cambridge, Huntingdon, Peterborough, Norfolk or London, but want to do something a bit different? Why not have your own personal chef to prepare a meal for you all, or even cook with you and help you make your own food as a hen party activity? Read my reviews - it's fun!
Whether your weekend is in a holiday cottage or at home, I will come to you, bringing all the necessary ingredients and equipment to make it a day to remember (except I can't supply alcohol, but I'm sure you'll find a way round that!).
How It Works
We will discuss exactly what you want to do, whether it's a sit down meal, a buffet, or maybe making sugar baskets or canapés in the afternoon with a meal later. Once everything is agreed I will give you a full quote so you know just where you stand.
I will then do all the shopping, plan your meal in detail, and let you know what time I will arrive.
I will if necessary check with the holiday cottage owner to ensure we have all the crockery, cutlery, glassware, serving dishes, cooking facilities, etc. required. If I'm cooking a meal for you then I will clean down the kitchen while you are eating before leaving. The only thing I don't do is wash up the crockery and cutlery - but hey, you have a dishwasher.
Depending on the type of food and activities you choose, I can cater for up to 25-30 peckish hens.
What It Costs
The cost will depend on the activities, menu and style of meal you choose. I will always give you a full quote prior in advance. I will require a deposit to cover the cost of ingredients.
A typical hot buffet will be £20-£25 per person, and 3 course dinner with canapés to start would be £25-£30 per person. For cooking lessons and activities my charge is £20 per hour, plus £10 preparation fee, plus ingredients, and my shopping charge if required is £10 (lessons only, not for meals). A mileage charge may also apply. If you have a budget in mind, I can usually work to it.
